If you are a North Hampton resident or have an NHPL card, you do not need to register for storytimes and can come on in!

Baby Storytime
Most Fridays (@10-11am) | Program Room
Join us (most) Fridays in the large program room for stories, songs, and open play! For newborn children through 36 months and their caregivers!
No registration is required. Visit our events calendar to see the all the dates this storytime will and will not be meeting throughout the year.
PLEASE NOTE:
- There is no required registration for this storytime, but please be mindful that if the group becomes large as we begin, a “Full” sign will appear on the storytime doors, indicating that we cannot have anymore families enter for that session. Thank you for your understanding!

Monday Creators Club
Monday (6/1) (@3-4pm) | Creation Station
Come join us every Monday we are open during the school year for a drop-in craft hour in the Creation Station. Every 3rd Monday will be a “Maker Monday”, focusing more on STEM/STEAM type crafts.
This free program is for youth patrons from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
No registration is required.
**There will be no Monday Creators Club on 6/8. We are closing early at 3pm for a staff meeting!**

Start getting excited for Summer Reading early with a paw-some event at the school!
“Mike Piazza performs with some of the most athletic Border Collies on the planet to entertain audiences of all ages. The team performs a variety of frisbee and other entertaining tricks during the performance.” There will be opportunity for audience participation.
A big thank you to our North Hampton Parks & Rec for helping us find and secure the school as the location of this event.

SUMMER READING KICK-OFF!

Welcome to Summer 2026!
Celebrate the start of our “Unearth A Story” summer reading program with us on the patio (or in the Program Room if it is rainy)! We welcome everyone to grab a reading log, play some yard and board games, make some collage buttons and bookmarks, and enjoy a delicious Kona Ice! Face-painter Patti will also be joining us!
*This free program is for all ages and requires no registration!*

A Special Morse Code Storytime & Craft!
Thursday, 6/25 (@10-11am) | Program Room
Join us for a very special storytime with our friends from the New Hampshire Telephone Museum in Warner, NH!
We will start by having our friend from NHTM read Jackrabbit McCabe & the Electric Telegraph – a story about how one quick kid meets new competition when it comes to delivering messages quickly around town.
After the storytime, participants will be able to practice Morse Code, learn their own names in Morse Code, and fashion their own Morse Code bracelets!
*This free program is recommended for kids ages 5 through 11.*

Family Movie Mornings: The Emperor’s New Groove

Let’s kick-off this summer movie series with a movie that truly embraces the emotional side of our theme of “Unearth A Story” – The Emperor’s New Groove. The Emperor’s New Groove is a 2000 Disney film rated G and runs for 78 minutes. Learn more about the film HERE.

Center for Wildlife: “Nature As My Muse” Art Program
Thursday, 7/16 (@10-11am) | Program Room
Join us for a morning of fun with our friends and animal ambassadors from the Center for Wildlife.
Throughout the history of humans, we have been inspired by nature.
- For younger learners, our Nature As My Muse program offers the opportunity to use the Center for Wildlife’s live animal ambassadors as the inspiration for a drawing or art project while learning about concepts such as camouflage!
- For older students, we can explore concepts of biomimicry and the history of how we have been inspired by nature.
Nature lovers of all ages love using our animal ambassadors as live models for their artwork, and this program can be adapted to any artistic medium.

A Special Gina Perry Storytime & Craft!
Thursday, 8/20 (@10-11am) | Program Room
Join us for a very special storytime with local guest author and illustrator Gina Perry.
We will start by having a ROAR-ing good time as Gina Perry will read aloud her wonderfully popular book The King of Books!
After the storytime, all will be able to craft along with Ms. Perry, creating fun pieces of art related to the book to take home.

Dance Along with Little Groove Music!

Come join the fun and dance along with our friends from Little Groove Music this vacation!
Little Groove’s interactive music program provides a fun learning environment that encourages children to explore and develop their creativity while having fun. With experienced instructors and a collaborative approach, Little Groove’s music program is the perfect way to introduce children to the joy of music with the use of real instruments such as maracas, puppets, scarves and a big parachute.
*This free program is recommended for ages toddlers up to 4 years (younger siblings can join the this class).*

Ready… Set… READ!
Ongoing Program | Children’s Room
Here at the North Hampton Public Library, we believe that patrons of all ages benefit from the the bond created by reading together and the early promotion of literacy both at home and on the go.
Would you like to register and join other early readers on their journey to read 1,000 books before kindergarten? Click HERE to get started or come in and register for this Friends of the Library funded program at the library.
Once you’ve signed up, we’ll be able to hand you your first sheet, and you can start recording titles. And yes, if you read the same title to your toddler five times in a row, that counts as five books!
History: “The 1000 Books Foundation is operated exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes.
The objectives of this organization are to encourage parent and child bonding through reading and to promote reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers.”
PLAY, LEARN & GROW!
Play, Learn & Grow! This program is just for families of young children! Children from infancy to preschool will enjoy a play space, toys, and activities designed specifically with them in mind. Parents will enjoy the opportunity to interact with other parents and meet informally with specialists in child development!
